Sarah is a Licensed Specialist Clinical Social Worker and has been helping children,teens, and adults for nearly 20 years. She received her Undergraduate Degree in Social Work from Kansas State University in 2002 and her Masters degree in Social Work from Newman University in 2004. She is a Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) Trainer and additionally completed 1A-Clinical Training from Michelle Garcia Winner (Social Thinking®) in San Jose, CA in 2014. Working in different school settings Sarah started out as a School Social Worker, then in 2013, she worked part-time as a Private Practitioner creating Social Thinkers of Wichita. Most recently in the past six years, Sarah has served as a Behavior Specialist in multiple School Districts. Sarah's clients come to her for a variety of reasons including ADHD, depression, anxiety, foster/adoptive family dynamics, as well as non-compliance issues in children. Sarah works primarily with children ranging from 5-18, specializing in working with families and children needing help with Behavioral and Social Skills Training. When you come and see Sarah you will be welcomed into a non-judgmental, open and empathetic environment that serves as a home. This home gives her clients a safe space to rest, grow, and develop. Sarah currently provides in-person and teletherapy appointments for her clients who have schedules that need weekdays and evenings.
